Molly went to her first concert bright and early this morning, courtesy of SXSW and KGSR at The W- we saw AND MEET Michael Kiwanuka. It was awesome. He an amazing talent and performed just as beautifully live as he does on his album. Meanwhile, little Miss Molly bounced through the first song, was lulled to sleep during the second ("Rest") and then slept right through getting to meet him afterwards. How gratifying to get to thank him for sharing his talent and music and explain that his song "I'm Getting Ready" was playing when she was born; and that his music has literally been the soundtrack buoying Joe and me for some of the incredible highs and terrifying lows that we have experienced already in her 9 months of life.
