My dad Bailey Shrum was in Luzon, Philippines in the South Pacific during WWII and earned a Silver Star by flying four missions in one day.

I have the papers that document the missions he flew on during this time. The war over in Europe, but the fighting continued in the South Pacific. He was instrumental in helping get the Japanese off the Philippine Islands.
