So, yesterday morning you woke up at 5:30. Everyone else was still asleep. You nursed for little while but then you insisted on being up for the day and apparently suddenly remembered you wanted to see Jack Jack. You toddled through the dark room, with just a small glow from your night light and opened the door. With one arm stretched up over your head holding onto the knob, you stood in the doorway and called softly for "Dack Dack" a few times. After I explained he was still sleeping, you walked back to me, grabbed my hand and guided me to go find him. We were up for the morning!
I hope I can always remember your sweet little silhouette in the doorway, just the two of us downstairs (Jackson had woken up earlier in the night with a nightmare and was sleeping upstairs in my bed). Your perfectly proportioned, tiny little body in your footed PJs, still not even as tall as the doorknob, absolutely melts me. Such a magical view.
You giggle and hug me and laugh and kiss me, squeeze my neck as hard as you can then curl up in my lap like a teeny baby. Which you still are.
You are getting more wiggly and rambunctious but are definitely in a Velcro stage where you cling to me and take a while to warm up to strangers. Such a precious stage and we are both soaking it up.
