First Savings Account
I told you if you saved $50 you could open a savings account at the bank. You reached that oak yesterday and this afternoon insisted that we go to the bank TODAY. So with $51.43 in your SAVE jar, you proudly opened your first savings account at UFCU. You were so excited you hugged and kissed me and licked my face (we subsequently talked about not licking...) but you were really proud. And I was proud and excited for you. We talked about things you save money for (your brother had several in-depth questions) and you seemed content with that. However, when we left you became hell-bent on going to Target and buying a "poopin' pup" even though you only have $8 currently in your SPEND jar ($22 short), a set of facts we talk though a couple times a day. It's hard being a 4-year-old.
